Denver Neighborhood Guides

Where to live in and around Denver, from someone who knows the difference a few blocks can make.

Denver isn't one market. Wash Park and Cherry Creek North sit ten minutes apart and feel nothing alike. Highlands Ranch and Hilltop attract different people for different reasons. Choosing well means understanding those differences before you fall for a house.

These guides cover the areas I know best, with the character of each place, the housing, what it costs, and who it suits. Every card shows live market figures. When you're ready to see a neighborhood in person, I'll show you around.

It depends on what matters most. Washington Park and Cherry Creek North are among the most sought after for walkability, architecture and access to parks and dining. Hilltop offers larger lots close to the city. Cherry Hills Village and Greenwood Village suit buyers who want space and privacy. Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and Centennial appeal to those who want newer homes and lower maintenance. Each has its own guide on this page.

Many longtime Denver homeowners who rightsize move to the south metro, to Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Centennial and Greenwood Village, for single-level homes, newer construction, lower maintenance and easy access to healthcare. Others stay in the city and move into a smaller home or condo in a familiar neighborhood such as Cherry Creek or Wash Park.
